OUR History
Southwest Washington PWL, Inc., was formed in December 2002, by a small group of citizens who wanted to allow boys and girls the opportunity to participate in the activities of Pop Warner Little Scholars youth football and cheer programs, regardless of race, creed, national origin, or religion. To provide an affordable program by utilizing neighborhood and community sponsors, while practicing the ideals of sportsmanship, physical fitness and team play without the influence of adult ambition or personal glory.
In January 2003, Southwest Washington Pop Warner League Inc., commenced operations in anticipation for a Fall 2003 season of Pop Warner Little Scholars. Youth Tackle Football and Cheerleading. In just 5 years we have grown to more than 1200 kids in our program locally and we will continue to grow with the support of the parents our generous sponsors and our community volunteers.

The SW Washington League DOES NOT perform or accept registrations.
SW Washington is divided into five associations covering large geographic areas. In the Vancouver metro area, our Associations use the local school district boundaries to determine membership in Pop Warner. Each association conducts it's own registration and sets their own pricing for their service area. You will register based on what school district your child attends or based on what school district you reside in. Associations will then create teams based on age, weight and experience within each association.
Each Association may have some specific things that they require, but Pop Warner Little Scholars has information that is required by all players in order to register and participate. Click here to find what Association your child will be a part of.
- Players and parents must complete a player contract.
- Players must have a signed physical form, dated after January 1st of the current year.
- Players must have a valid, certified copy of their birth certificate.
- Players must have the most recent report card from the previous school year that shows they are maintaining a 2.0 GPA or higher. If this is unavailable or is lower than a 2.0 GPA, we can place the player on a "progress report" which means that they must show progression in their studies in order to remain eligible.
